Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are used to enhance our client’s beautiful features and help restore volume in areas where volume has been lost. Most of the fillers used at Picasso Medical Aesthetics are made of hyaluronic acid with the exception of Radiesse which is a calcium-based product. Most fillers can last anywhere from 9-12 months based on the client’s lifestyle. For clients who smoke, sunbathe, exercise heavily, or drink daily fillers may not last the full 9-12 months.

Radiesse

The best solution for erasing lines and folds is to replace lost structure with immediate volume. RADIESSE® Volumizing Filler works immediately so the results are instant. Once injected, RADIESSE Volumizing Filler adds the volume and lift needed to diminish the signs of aging.

What makes RADIESSE truly unique is the ability of the product to act as a scaffold under the skin, providing structure and stimulating your own natural collagen to grow.

The production of natural collagen continues for several months, which extends beyond the initial effect of RADIESSE Volumizing Filler. Best of all, the natural results are clinically proven to last a year or more in many patients, which means more value from each treatment and long-lasting results.

Versa is an FDA-approved dermal filler from Revanesse that is used to revitalize the appearance of the skin. This versatile injectable is a popular choice among those looking to resolve a wide variety of age lines.

What is it used for?

Versa is a hyaluronic acid dermal filler used to treat moderate-to-severe facial wrinkles and folds. Common target areas include the lips, cheeks, nasolabial folds (laugh lines), glabellar (between the eyebrows and the nose), and tear troughs (beneath the lower eyelids).

Benefits of treatment

Revanesse Versa fillers are loved by patients and experts because they provide the following benefits:

  • Fast procedure - The Versa filler injection process can last from 15 to 60 minutes, depending on the size of the treatment area.

  • No downtime - After receiving Versa, you can go back to your regular activities, with the exception of heavy exercise, bending, or lying down too soon after the procedure.

  • Instant results - Versa provides immediate results that fully manifest after a couple of weeks.

  • Natural-looking results - the results of the Versa filler treatment are subtle, enhancing rather than modifying your appearance.

  • Minimal discomfort - Versa contains lidocaine, an anesthetic that minimizes discomfort during and after the procedure.

  • Few side effects - While some bruising, swelling, or redness can appear as with any other injection treatment, they quickly subside. Because of the filler’s uniformity, patients typically report less swelling.

  • Many treatment areas - Versa fillers are versatile and can be used to treat wrinkles on most areas of the face.

  • Rare complications - Versa rarely causes allergic reactions, so the chances of complications are minimal. If you are unsatisfied with the results, you can dissolve Versa fillers or wait for them to dissolve on their own.

Sculptra's results can last up to two years, which helps to minimize the amount of time and money spent on touch-ups and life interference.

Neuromodulators

Neuromodulators are used to decrease muscle movement by blocking communication between the nerve endings and the muscles. This decrease in muscle movement will lead to decreased expression lines in the areas being treated. There is currently 4 neuromodulators in the market: Botox, Dysport, Jeaveau, and Xeomin. After placement of the neuromodulator product best results will be noticed at about 2 weeks post treatment. Most results last about 3-4 months.

botox

BOTOX® Cosmetic is a simple, non-surgical, physician-administered treatment that can temporarily make moderate to severe frown lines, crow’s feet & forehead lines look better. Such dynamic wrinkles are caused by contractions of the delicate underlying facial muscles that occur every time you smile, laugh or frown.

Lines that are caused can give people a tired, angry or sad appearance – even when they aren't necessarily experiencing those emotions. While you may have earned every one of your worry lines, you don't have to show them anymore.

One 10-minute treatment, involving a few tiny injections, and within days there's a noticeable improvement which can last up to 4 months.

Smile. Laugh. Frown. Make all the facial expressions you want and stop worrying about wrinkles!

Dysport_Logo.jpg

Dysport

Dysport is the trade name for type-A botulinum toxin. Dysport is the only FDA approved and a most recent competitor to Botox, which also utilizes the type-A botulinum toxin, but is more concentrated than Dysport. Side effects are similar between the two facial injectables.

They both relax the muscles that are responsible for causing facial wrinkles and fine lines.

Dysport was approved for use in the United States in May 2009 though it has been in use in other countries for many years. Initially, Dysport was only approved for cosmetic use to treat the lines between the eyebrows, which are known as "frown lines". but has now been approved for usage on the neck bands, forehead, crow's feet and around the mouth with nice, natural-looking results.

Dysport helps smooth the appearance of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows without changing the look or movement of the rest of your face.

Xeomin_Logo.jpg

Xeomin

Botulinum toxin type A, a protein purified from the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. – which is the active ingredient in XEOMIN® – is used in facial aesthetic treatment to treat dynamic lines like glabellar frown lines. It acts on nerve endings in muscles to prevent muscle fibers from contracting. By reducing these contractions, XEOMIN® can temporarily reduce the frown lines on your forehead between your eyes.

Xeomin is made through a unique precision manufacturing process which removes the accessory proteins which makes this product a purified neurotoxins.

When you squint or frown, the muscles between your brows contract, causing the skin to furrow and fold. These lines that occur due to facial mimics are referred to as dynamic lines.

Over time, as your skin ages and loses some of its elasticity, these repeated contractions can cause persistent frown lines.
